Edelrid Topaz 9.2 – A triple-rated rope ready for sport, trad and alpine climbing.
Climbers seeking a versatile lightweight rope will prize the triple-rated (single, half and twin) Topaz.
Edelrid Topaz 9.2

The triple-rated Edelrid Topaz 9.2 mm rope.

But unlike many skinny cords that suffer from reduced durability, Edelrid has beefed up the sheath thickness (it’s now 37 percent of the rope) so that the Topaz can better withstand the use and abuse to which many climbers subject their ropes. The result is a light, easy-handling rope that has the durability often found only on heavier cords.

Other features that climbers will appreciate include relatively low impact forces for a softer catch and the full gamut of Edelrid’s sophisticated rope treatments that ensure excellent water repellency as well as durability.

Finally, the Topaz (like all Edelrid ropes) adheres to the bluesign standards, which ensure the rope is constructed with processes that significantly minimize environmental impact.

This is an exceptional rope that can easily transition from high-level sport and trad routes to the alpine environment. Highly recommended.
