Boreal Marduk - Performance, Comfort and Versatility
While the Marduk may not be as downturned or asymmetric as the Satori and Dharma, it offers a level of performance, comfort and sensitivity that most climbers want for vertical to gently overhanging terrain.

Boreal Marduk

Like the Dharma and Satori, the Marduk uses Boreal’s Zenith rubber for exceptional grip and edging performance. Boreal extends the sticky Zenith rubber up the back of the shoe ensuring consistent performance during tenuous heel trickery. In the forefoot area, Boreal wisely employed a medium-stiff midsole, which provides support without compromising sensitivity and smearing. For extra control, a laterally tensioned rand across the top of the forefoot minimizes unwanted foot roll when standing on small edges. Control is further increased with the Marduk’s closure, which consists of two broad Velcro straps that deliver a secure and easy-to-adjust fit. The addition of a soft terry-like lining on the inside provides comfort on long pitches and ensures a consistent fit. This is an excellent all-around high performance shoe that excels on all but the most extreme routes.
